1. Camp Colorado – This is a camp that is hosted by the American Diabetes Association and is located the Eagle Lake Camp in the heart of Pike National Forest. The offer a residential camp for ages 8-14, and a teen camp for ages 15-17. Camp fees are as follows (both include the $50 registration fee) Residential – $610, Teen Camp – $650 Residential Camp includes activities such as archery, canoeing, swimming, crafts, camp Olympics, and capture the flag. Teen Camp includes activities such as, hiking, mountain biking, rock climbing, rope courses, and white water rafting. All of the activities offered at Camp Colorado are geared toward gathering together children with diabetes and allowing them the opportunity to have a wonderful time despite the disease. It allows them to congregate with other diabetics in an environment they can all relate too.
